I love Disney characters. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that didn’t like AT LEAST one Disney character. My favorites are Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore. Of course I love Mickey and Minnie too! Come to think of it… I love Dumbo, Baloo, Tinker Bell, Olaf… Okay, I love them all!
If that special child in your life is a fan of Disney characters, or you have a toddler who is just starting to learn about Disney characters, you might be interested in this new set of Disney toys. It features not one, not two, but SIX of the most iconic and beloved Disney characters – Micky, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy.
The set is called “We Hold Hands,” (pictured above) and it’s made by renowned plush maker Kids Preferred for online retailer OpenandClothing.com, this six-piece set is ultra-soft with little details that make an impact. From embroidered eyes to crinkle sounds on various parts of the dolls, these plush characters are sure to delight any child. Plus, they are machine-washable, making them easy to clean after any messy playtime.
These toys are officially licensed by Disney Baby.
What makes these adorable, soft plush toys unique is that they feature hook-and-loop Velcro fasteners on their hands. This allows the toys to hold hands with themselves and with each other. You will not find this special feature on any other Mickey and Friends plush toy set.
What also makes these toys unique is that they crinkle. Little ones especially love the crinkle sound (as do kittens… but that’s another story – ha ha). For example, you’ll find a crinkle sound on Mickey’s ears, Daisy’s hair bow and Pluto’s back legs (all characters have some area on their body that makes a crinkle sound).
I was sent this set to review.
I was surprised at the size of these plush toys. I honestly thought they were smaller. They are a lot bigger, which was a pleasant surprise. These are the perfect size for hugging and holding. They range in size from 9″ – 11″ (Pluto is 9″, the rest are 11″).
Whenever I receive plush toys to review, I always check them over for stitching and do a little “tug test” here and there to check on how well made they are. These plush toys are exceptionally well made.
These little adorable characters look identical to the real thing. I have seen other character plush toys (not just Disney) that end up not looking like the actual character. That is not the case here. Mickey looks like Mickey, Pluto looks like Pluto and so forth.
I tried to get a photo of all six of them linked together, but our cats (we have eight of them, two of which are kittens that think EVERYTHING is their toy) kept jumping at them and ripping them from each other’s hands. I was only able to take photos of them unhooked.
Speaking of the attachment features (hook-and-loop Velcro), They are easy enough for a child to separate from each other, and attaching them together would be relatively easy for them too.
Of course your child doesn’t have to play with them holding hands together, that is just a fun feature. They can be played with, loved and enjoyed just like any other plush toy. You can also separate them and gift them to different children if you’d like (this is great if you have multiple children or grandchildren in the same family).
These are great for all ages (including “big kids” like me).
The “We Hold Hands” set is made from a soft, machine-washable polyester. You can wash these in cold water, gentle cycle, and tumble dry on low. Do not bleach them (for obvious reasons).
These sweet toys would make a great gift for the holiday season, birthday, baby shower or other occasions.
