If you are a parent or grandparent you no doubt know how hard it is to get kids to eat and encourage them to eat healthy foods. It’s harder when you have picky eaters.
I’m grateful that my kids liked all kinds of fruits and vegetables, even at a young age. To this day they still love spinach, broccoli and even chickpeas. Chickpeas for them are like candy. They can gobble up a whole can in one shot.
My daughter actually prefers vegetables raw. When I am making dinner and using fresh veggies I have to make sure to set aside some for her and not cook it (I normally steam veggies).
When my kids were little the organic trend hadn’t really started yet. These days there are a lot of organic foods for babies, toddlers and children on the market. To be honest with you if my kids were younger I would certainly go for organic foods instead of regular foods. I was, and still am, very concerned about the things my family eats and drinks.
Happy Family has many great food products for babies through adults. They even sent me a few products to check out. I received products geared more towards little ones, but that didn’t stop my kids from enjoying them. My daughter LOVED the Happy Puffs. We received the Purple Carrot & Blueberry flavored puffs. Yes, there really are purple carrots!
The Happy Family Happy Puffs are sweetened using 100% fruit juice and they are enriched with vitamins and minerals. The puffs are small, cereal-like pieces of food that help encourage self eating. They are the perfect size for tots and also melt in their mouth just in case they don’t chew.
I think the Happy Puffs are a great idea. Back when my kids were little there was only one cereal (and one flavor) that we used to encourage them to eat on their own. I love that Happy Family provides toddlers with a variety of flavors. I think offering different flavors helps to encourage tots to try different things and you’ll have less of a chance of a picky eater.
I don’t have a photo of the Happy Puffs because my daughter ate them all and recycled the container.
Happy Family also sent a variety of products that come in squeeze pouches. They kind of remind me of something astronauts might use. The food is made into a thick, liquid consistency. You simply open the cap and squeeze it into your mouth.
My teens had fun with these. I’m sure toddlers and children will too.
My kids liked the flavors, but as a mom, I like that there is less mess. They are also portable and convenient. You don’t need to keep these cold and they are non-perishable. That means you can toss them into your diaper bag or purse and offer them to your child whenever they need a little something to eat.
I tried one myself. They tasted good but it was not as sweet as I expected. They are a lot like baby food, which is NOT a bad thing. That just tells me they are not made with added sugars or artificial sweeteners. I checked each one and didn’t see sugar mentioned at all, only organic fruits and veggies.
Each pouch we received had between 60-100 calories per pouch. They are packed with vitamins, minerals and other essentials a young body needs.
They even come with colorful caps. 🙂 My son kept the caps because he said they remind him of wheels and he wants to see if he can use them to build a car or something like that.
Another nice snack treat for toddlers it the Happy Family Happy Yogis. They are tiny, crunchy fruity flavored snacks that are made with organic fruit and yogurt. They even have pre and probiotics to help aide in digestion. They are also gluten free.
I liked these. They had a nice fruity flavor and they melted very quickly in your mouth. These would be ideal to serve to your toddler along with the Happy Puffs. Not only would it exposure your child to different flavors but also different textures.

I like the squeeze container convenience but lots of packaging plastic and sometimes there is lots of the product left inside. I would still try it though!

I like the fact that parents (and adults) have so many more organic choices these days. The puffs sound like fun. (better than cheerios).

The grand kids will like the puff, they sound good. Organic food is better but lots of time its more expensive to eat. The squeeze pouches will be handy to take with us.,lots of great flavors too. thanks for the info
