Are you making your list? Are you checking it twice? Whose been naughty? Whose been nice?
I’ve been very nice this year. I’m asking Santa for a buyer for our condo and for us to find the perfect house. 🙂 Let’s see him stuff that in my stocking this year. Ha Ha.
If you are looking for something for that special lady on your shopping list, perfume is always a nice gesture. My teenage daughter loves perfume. She has a pretty impressive collection too. I try not to buy her too much perfume because she has a lot, but it’s great to know that we can use that as a backup in case we can’t find anything else to get her.
I had the opportunity recently to try a perfume called Miss Anastasia. It’s currently available at www.ShopOlivine.com and in Seattle and Los Angeles as Show Pony (I’m assuming the locals are familiar with that store?).
Miss Anastasia has an alluring scent to it. I see this more as an evening perfume, or a perfume you’d wear at a special occasion, more so than a perfume you’d wear to the office for work. It’s a deep, intoxicating scent, not a light and breezy one. I also feel that this scent is ideal for the Fall and Winter, but not so much for the Summer. Maybe Spring. I’m not sure about that yet.
Miss Anastasia is a blend of Pure Vanilla, Musk, Jasmine, Amber, Patchouli, Moroccan Rose, Blackberry and a few other secret notes. As you can see it has a truly exotic blend of scents. It does smell exotic. Sort of like something you would smell in a European or Middle Eastern market. I know that might not make sense, but if you think about it perhaps you’ll know what I’m referencing to.
The scent has an air of mystery to it too.
I am not good when it comes to picking up notes and scents in perfumes. Just when I think I smell something it’s gone and I smell something else.
At first the scent is a bit strong. I can pick up on the Patchouli, Musk and Vanilla. After a few minutes the scent is lighter. I can still smell the Vanilla but it takes on a different scent (perhaps the Moroccan Rose?). It’s not a true floral scent either. Floral is not a word I would use to describe Miss Anastasia perfume. It’s definetly more musky and Earthy.
I only received a small sampling of the perfume to try out. The actual perfume does come in a lovely box, suitable for gift giving.
If someone on your shopping list appreciates fine perfume then Miss Anastasia is certainly an ideal choice.
