While I do have two friends name Lee that I adore, when I say I ♥ Lee I mean the clothing company. 🙂
I’m a plus size women. To make matters worse I’m a petite plus size women. It’s not easy to find clothes that fit me. Either they are too big, or two small. I don’t mind my tops being too big (I like to cover up my “booty”), but I can’t have pants or jeans that are too big. I don’t have the money to have things professionally hemmed (I’m lucky if I can sew a button) and folding up the cuffs of pants just looks tacky, especially if you are trying to look nice and professional. Cuffed capris look cute at the beach, cuffed dress pants look horrible when you are at an event.
I love Lee because they are the one brand I know I can go to in order to find bottoms that will fit me. Not only in length, but also my whole body. I don’t have to worry about jeans being too snug or too lose.
I have a few pairs of Lee jeans and they are my favorite jeans. I love how comfortable they feel on me. The length are also perfect on my 5′ 3″ frame.
I am sorry that I don’t have photos of me in my jeans to show you. I am not one to get my picture taken. Being an overweight person I am very self-conscious about having my photo taken. Sorry about that. 🙁
Another thing I love about their jeans is that they always feel like they have been well worn, even when they are brand new. I hate it when I buy jeans or pants that feel still until they have been worn several times. With Lee jeans they feel like you have worn them for years, making them super comfortable to wear.
I also love that they are budget friendly. My daughter, for example, is also petite in height. She’s 5′ 2″. Finding jeans and pants for her are also impossible. I found two stores that carry petite jeans for teens – both of which are $$$$. I can easily spend $40 – $60 on ONE PAIR of jeans for her. I always try to stock up when I see they are on clearance or on sale, but none the less, that is an outrageous price for ONE PAIR of jeans.
Plus size fashions are normally overpriced too. Sadly clothing companies seem to feel that they need to overprice their plus size clothing if they want plus size people to have the latest and greatest fashion trends. If not you are stuck with more “budget friendly” clothing that is totally ugly and not fashionable. I’m only in my mid-40’s. I don’t want to be confined to wearing Miu-Mius and old lady pants. I want to wear the trendy jeans and fashionable tops that other people my age wear who happen to not be a plus size.
That is why I love Lee. Not only can I wear trendy, in style bottoms, but they are also budget friendly too. I can get jeans for under $30.00. I can also find great shorts, Bermuda shorts and capris for great prices too.
I have two pairs of shorts from the Lee.com website. I love them! From the moment I put them on they fit perfectly.
I have a problem wearing shorts. They tend to ride up on my inner thighs. I hate that! I looks horrible. That is why I try and buy shorts that are longer on me (like Bermuda shorts) or capris. The closer to my knees the better. That means they are less likely to ride up on my thighs.
Another problem I have with shorts is that sometimes they slip down on my hips. I’m not a fan of wearing belts. I don’t mind wearing things with an elastic waist, but sometimes the elastic get loose causing my shorts to slip down my hips when I am walking. Living on the top floor of a condo with six flights of steps doesn’t help matters any. Some shorts I have cause me to have to stop on every landing and pull my shorts up otherwise they are going to drop to my ankles. That would be just a week bit embarrassing. Ha Ha.
On Lee.com you can find a pair of shorts called Comfort Fit Charlie Roll Up Bermuda Shorts. I have these shorts. I wear them all the time! I got them in black so that they match just about everything in my wardrobe. I know that black is not a great color to wear in the hot summer months, but I don’t mind. When it’s very hot outside I won’t go outside to begin with. I’m not a fan of heat or humidity.
These Bermuda shorts can roll up to make them a bit shorter if you want, or just keep them longer as Bermuda shorts. I prefer keep them as Bermuda shorts.
These shorts are light weight and oh-so-comfy to wear. Even after washing and wearing them numerous times they still look and feel as good as they did the first day I wore them. Plus they have plenty of pockets to carry around your cellphone and whatever else you might need.
I have another pair of Lee Bermuda shorts that are equally as fantastic as the Comfort Fit Charlie Roll Up Bermuda Shorts that I have.
If you are a plus size women (and even a petite plus size woman) and you would like to find affordable fashions that fit great, check out www.Lee.com. They also carry plenty of “regular” sizes as well as men’s clothing too.
Make sure to check out the clearance section for even more savings. I found a pair of dress pants for my husband for work on clearance for $26.99. That is about 1/2 the price of what he normally pays for dress pants for work. I consider that a “Score!”.
If you would like to check out Lee Jeans on their various social network sites you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
