You have to really appreciate the innocence of children. Only children would find the simplest thing hysterically funny. If you have ever experienced a baby laughing until tears streamed from their eyes over something as simple as a balloon or a dog tail wagging, then you know what I’m talking about.
My family received a toy to review from Jakks Pacific that made both my kids laugh so hard they couldn’t breathe! It’s a Phineas and Ferb “Eye Bugger” toy.
Phineas and Ferb is a popular TV series on the Disney Channel. My kids watch it all the time and love it. Now Disney Consumer Products and Jakks Pacific is bringing those lovable characters to a toy store near you with a collection of toys inspired by the hit TV show. Some of the Phineas and Ferb toys include plush, mini-figures and squeezable toys.
We received a Dr. Doofenshmirtz “Eye Bugger”. I’m sure you have seen similar “stress relievers” where you squeeze them and their eyes pop out of their head. I know there was a bowling pin shaped one that was popular many years ago. The “Eye Bugger” is the same principle. You squeeze the character and his eyes “bug out” of his head.
Personally I found the toy a bit creepy looking. I don’t follow the show so I didn’t really know who the character was. He looks pretty mean and sinister.
I squeezed the toy and it took me a bit to get his eyes to pop out. I don’t know if I was squeezing him wrong or what the problem was. He’s not very “thick” for lack of a better description. Similar squeeze toys/stress relievers tend to have more “body” to them. My kids on the other hand had no problem with it at all. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. I do suffer from Carpal Tunnel. Perhaps my squeeze is not as strong as theirs?
My kids thought the Dr. Doofenshmirtz Eye Bugger was the funniest thing. They couldn’t stop laughing at it. Even the dog found it entertaining (although I think he thinks it’s a toy for him).
Here are a couple of pictures.

The toy retails for $5.99 and is appropriate for ages 6 and up. For the amount of laughs and amusement the kids got out of this toy I say it’s well worth the small price tag.
My son took the toy to school with him today to show his friends at recess time. I’m sure they will get a kick out of it too. I tend to think this is more geared towards boys then girls, but you never know. My daughter was amused by it.
Look for Phineas and Ferb products at a toy retailer near you. To learn more about toys from Jakks Pacific you can visit them online at http://www.jakkspacific.com/.

*I received a free sample of the toy to do this review. There was no other compensation. The opinions expressed are my own.
