I’ve always said that I’m lacking a “girly gene”. I honestly have no interest in shoes, purses or making sure my purse, belt and shoes match. Give me a comfy pair of sweats and a t-shirt and I’m a happy girl. I do like “shiny” things. I can’t walk past Kay Jeweler or Zales without something catching my eye. Much to the dismay of my dear husband. Ha Ha.
Every now and then something “girly” comes along that gets me all excited and giddy like a little school girl. Case in point my darling little tote from Initials, Inc.
Initials, Inc. sent me the cutest little bag called “Hippy Chick” in a colorful blue/green swirly design. It reminds me a lot of a messenger bag, just on a smaller scale.

The Hippy Chick bag features an adjustable strap which I LOVE. Normally I wear my pocketbook straps over my shoulder, which you can do with the Hippy Chick bag. Every now and then I need for the pocketbook to go over my neck and shoulder so that it’s more “hands free”, like when I need to bring up the groceries or if I am walking the dog. Thanks to the adjustable strap I can wear the Hippy Chick bag any way I see fit.
The bag is just the right size to keep all my essentials (wallet, keys, cell phone, tissues, mirror, hand sanitizer…). It’s not too big and not too small. I know some people love to lug around massive bags. I’m not one of those people. I also need a bag that is practical in size and will carry more then my keys and lip gloss.
The bag is made very well. I’m not sure kind of material it is. It’s sort of heavy like a denim (but it’s not denim). I’ve yanked on the straps and they are sewn on very well. It’s also lightweight.
The bag has an outside pocket with a magnetic closure. This is a great place to keep a pen, business cards and anything else you might need to keep handy. Inside the bag you’ll find two pockets, one of which is the perfect size for a cell phone. The other one should fit a Blackberry or iPhone with no problem. The other side (inside) of the bag has a large zippered pocket. This is where I keep my wallet. The entire bag also closes up with a zipper to keep things safe.
I love that I have my initials on the bag. I love the whimsical font that they used.

I‘m sorry that the pictures are not so great. The bag is a lot more colorful in person.
Initials, Inc. was founded by sisters Britney Vickery and Ivy Hall shortly after becoming Stay at Home Moms (SAHM). During that time they loved being home with their children but found that they were seeking three things; to be challenged creatively, to have flexibility in schedule and to contribute financially to their homes, but they didn’t want to give up time with their young families to get it. Initials, Inc. was created to meet those needs as women and new mothers. Over time, they quickly realized that the solution that they created for themselves could be a blessing to other women.
Initials, Inc. officially launched in February 2005. Today, Initials, Inc. is national in scope and is supporting women and families all across the country through home parties selling personalized gifts!
Initials, Inc. offers a variety of bags and other items such as eyeglass/sunglass holders, cosmetic cases, candles, stationary and more. They even offer “Happy Buckets” which can be used for a variety of things like toys, toiletries, candy, popcorn and other great uses. All their products can be personalized with your initial or initials. My bag has K.V. on it which is great because my daughter has the same initials so she can share my bag with me, that is IF I wanted to part with it (LOL).
