A few weeks ago I posted a contest for a $250 AMEX gift card giveaway from LG. The mandatory entry requirement was to leave a comment “airing your dirty laundry”.
I have to say that many of the comments were hysterical. There were a few that left me feeling sort of creeped out (LOL) but most of them were pretty funny.
The contest was set up to help promote LG’s Front-Loading washer and dryers. They have been industry leaders in this market in the U.S. for four years. They were also named the most reliable brand for Front Load laundry as well as dryers in the U.S. by a leading consumer magazine.
LG’s Ultra-Capacity Steam Washer with 6Motion Technology are Energy Star rated and can help consumers to save energy costs by 1/3 and water costs in half. LG’s Ultra Capacity Steam Washer is one of the most energy efficient washers available in its category. It’s roughly 86 percent more energy efficient and uses up to 40 percent less water than conventional top-load. That adds up to a lot of savings (upwards to $900 in energy and water costs) over the life of the machines.
LG’s True Steam technology actually uses LESS water than traditional washers. Not only that they help to reduces allergens, wrinkles and odors.
The washing machines are powered by LG’s state-of-the art Direct Drive motor, which operates without belts or pulleys, meaning you get increased efficiency, reduced noise and vibration, and a guaranteed longer lifetime backed with an unprecedented 10-year warranty.
If we had a house where we could have a washer and drye of our own (and not have to share with the rest of our condo building) I would love the new LG Ultra-Capacity Steam Washer. Not only do I appreciate that it’s energy efficient but I’m also sold on the odor and wrinkle reduction.

There were a lot of great “dirty laundry” comments but I had to leave it up to the random number generator at www.Random.org to pick the winner. Congratulations Alicia. She has already been notified and her gift card is on it’s way. 🙂
All of this talk about laundry reminds me that we have laundry to do. We only do our laundry on Sundays. Since Christmas is this Sunday I’m pretty sure we won’t want to do laundry. I guess this means we’ll be doing a few loads on Friday.
Thanks to all who entered.
Kimberly
*I was not compensated for this post. This was a companion post to an earlier post. Any opinions expressed are my own. LG will be providing the gift card.
