A few weeks ago I posted a review for a sugar alternative called Nektar Honey Crystals. Nektar Honey Crystals provide you with the same yummy honey taste, but without the ooey gooey sticky mess.
I love to add honey to my hot tea from time to time, but dealing with the sticky mess of honey is a turn off. If you love to use honey I’m sure you know what I am talking about.
Honey is great on so many things including hot tea, ice tea, drizzled on pancakes and waffles, drizzled on ice cream (especially French Vanilla – yum!) and on top of yogurt.
Nektar Honey Crystals give you the same great taste of honey but in a less messy and a convenient “on-the-go” packaging.
Nektar Honey Crystals are individually packaged. They are large crystals. If you have ever seen raw sugar before the Nektar Honey crystals sort of remind me of them.
One package of Nektar Honey Crystals is equal to one teaspoon of honey. They are als0 100% natural, GMO free and naturally Gluten free.
I use Nektar Honey Crystals to sweeten and flavor hot tea. I also use it on pancakes and they really jazz up the taste of the pancakes.
Growing up my mom always served pancakes buttered with sugar sprinkled on top. We never used syrup. I’m not sure if it was a “mom thing” or how she grew up eating pancakes in Wales, where she was from. I still eat my pancakes that way, as do my kids (hubby prefers syrup). Instead of sprinkling sugar on top I’ve been using the Nektar Honey Crystals and it’s really made a difference in the taste. The pancakes are much more flavorful.
You can use Nektar Honey Crystals in cooking and baking. Personally I haven’t tried it yet (I was going to use it to sweeten a ham I had, but hubby wanted to use something else). The crystals are heat safe and OK to use in your favorite recipes.
If you would like to read my original review you can find it here, https://www.shescribes.com/2012/11/nektar-naturals-honey-crystals.html. There are also more great uses for Nektar Honey Crystals listed in that post (including making your own sports drink) as well as a couple of recipes.

Use it in my tea of course! I would add to oatmeal, use on toast/bagels and sprinkle on top of sweet potatoes in place of mini-marshmellows. I also like the idea of taking it with me on trips or to work.

I drink coffee every morning with just sweetener and no milk. So I would love to try this product in place of my normal sweetner for my morning coffee.

Nektar Honey Crystals would be a great substitute for some – or even all – of the brown sugar I use for the filling in my home-made yeast cinnamon rolls that our family and friends adore. I actually give these as Christmas presents, people love them so much!
