I love music. I listen to music every day – morning, noon and night. I listen to music when I’m happy, sad, stressed out… pretty much all the time. I find that music can affect and change my mood. I even listen to music to help give me a boost of energy to clean or get ready for work.
I listen to most genres of music. I especially like rock, pop, heavy metal and K-pop. My tastes also span the decades, from the 50’s to current day.
Back when my kids were younger, I was really into the Backstreet Boys. Their ballads were so soulful and their dance/pop songs were really upbeat.
I still remember my son singing Backstreet Boys songs from the backseat while still in his car seat (although he denies ever singing in the car – ha ha).
Can you believe the band has been around for THIRTY YEARS! Ugh! I feel really old. How is that even possible? Nick Carter, the “baby” of the group was only thirteen years old when the band started. Now he’s forty-three years old. Seriously… that is insane!
Quarto Books recently released a new hardcover, coffee-table style book, celebrating the Backstreet Boys. It’s called Backstreet Boys 30th Anniversary Celebration – A Larger Than Life Tribute.
Since breaking big in 1993, the Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists. In fact, they are the only boy band to have their first ten albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band in April 2023, members AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough are still going strong, selling out arenas and stadiums around the world.
Featuring a foreword by Spice Girls member Melanie Chisholm (aka Melanie C or Sporty Spice), this loving homage to the Boys explores the band’s journey from relative unknowns to superstardom. Backstreet Boys 30th Anniversary Celebration includes the personal backstories for all five members, an exploration of every chart-topping single, best-selling album, and sold-out tour, with amazing photos, fan memorabilia and more.
I received a copy of the book to review.
This is a must have book for any Backstreet Boys fan, both past and present (they are still making music today).
This book is packed with beautiful color photos of the boys, from their beginnings to present day. Many of these photos probably were never seen before either.
I love learning about how the band was formed and all their backstories.
This book chronicles everything Backstreet Boys, and all their ups and downs.
I haven’t finished reading the book (yet) due to personal reasons (death in the family), however from what I have read, this book is really in depth and doesn’t leave “any stone unturned.”
I also feel very old looking at earlier photos of the band. They were such babies! Now they are grown adults with babies (and not so young ones) of their own. That is crazy! The Backstreet Boys are now Backstreet Men and Backstreet Fathers. Crazy!
You can find this book at many retail locations (Amazon, Barnes & Noble…). The MSRP is $24.99 ($32.99 in Canada) and is published by Epic Ink.
