As a “mom” to five cats, a dog and a fish, I do my best to make sure ALL of my pets are happy and healthy.
Living in a small condo does not offer a lot of opportunities to our pets to run around. Our dog goes for long walks, so he’s OK. Unfortunately all of our cats are indoor cats (with the exception of sitting out on our balcony). I have to find ways to entertain our cats as well as to provide them with plenty of ways to get some exercise.
We have a giant cat tree, tunnels and cubes for our cats to play in. They like to chase one another around our home which is another great form of exercise.
I also like to provide our cats with plenty of fun toys. I like to rotate them so that they don’t get bored with them.
Recently I introduced a fun new cat toy from Friskies. It’s called Pull n’ Play.
Pull n’ Play is very unique because it features the first ever EDIBLE strings for cats to play with an enjoy.
If you have a cat you probably know that they love strings. Our cat Bella is especially crazy for strings. She likes to hang around us when we fold laundry because she knows some of our bath towels (the older ones) have strings hanging off of them. She likes to swat at them and chew on them. Of course we discourage that because we rather our cat not have a tummy full of string.
When I learned about Friskies Pull n’ Play with edible string I thought to myself “Why didn’t anyone think of this soon?” Edible string – genius!
Check out this cute video about the product.
Friskies sent me their new Pull n’ Play along with some extra treats (we have five cats – they love treats).
The Pull n’ Play is a little mouse looking critter that wobbles around on the floor.
The toy comes with edible string. It reminds me of the licorice that you can pull apart into smaller string pieces.
To use simply peel off an edible string, break it in half and stick one half into one side of the toys head and the other piece on the other side.
The Pull n’ Play toy also has a spot in it’s tummy for Friskies Party Mix snacks if you want to include them too.
Here is our cat Bella enjoying the Pull n’ Play toy and treats.
It’s hard to see in the photos but she’s chewing on the edible string.
Here is a distance shot of the Pull n’ Play toy. You can see the edible strings at the top of it’s head and the holes on the sides for where the Party Mix snacks would come out from when your cat bats the toy around.
The toy has a cute little face. The photo (above) shows it from behind.
I like that this toy can be used in a variety of ways – with just the edible string, with the edible string and Party Mix, with just the Party Mix and as a stand alone toy.
Your cat can enjoy the edible string without the toy too.
All of my cats LOVE the edible string (Bella – shown above – loves it the most). The only thing I found is that it’s hard for them to chew off the pieces. They can chew it off, but sometimes the chew off pieces that are too big. To remedy this I let the cats play with it for a while, then I take the edible string and break it up into bite size pieces and serve it to my cats. That way they get to play with the string and then enjoy it and I don’t have to worry about them eating pieces that are too big for them.
Our dog tries to get the treats out of the wobble toy and pull off the edible string, so if you have a dog you might want to let you can play with this toy in another room.
Recently pro football punter Steve Weatherford visited the “Friskies Playhouse” in New York City to promote this fun new cat toy and treat. The event was to kick off a fun charitable program. For every playful cat photo that was uploaded on social media using the hashtag #MostPlayfulCat, Friskies donated one Pull n’ Play package (up to 2,500) to shelter cats. If the goal was met Friskies was going to donate an additional 2,500 Pull n’ Play string pouches and 5,000 packages of Party Mix. How wonderful of Friskies to do that.
In addition, Friskies is hosting a #MostPlayfulCat contest for a chance to win cash prizes, wobble toy and a one year supply of product.
There is no purchase necessary to participate or win. The sweepstakes has already started and will end at 11:59 AM on August 10, 2015. Click here for complete Official Sweepstakes Rules.
I love checking out the entries. You can view them, as well as enter, at www.Friskies.com/PullnPlay.
I’ve entered the contest. With five cats and plenty of photos it was hard to narrow it down.
