I tend to be a night owl. I could easily stay up all night and sleep all day. When I was a young adult that was fine. Now that I am older and have a family to take care of I can’t do that. I NEED to get to bed at a decent time because I have to get up early to start my day. I have a family to get off to school and work every morning.
Because I’m a night owl I tend to have a hard time falling asleep. For me I find it difficult to turn my brain off. I lie there thinking about the events of the day as well as things I need to get done the next day. I try and think about other things (counting sheep does NOT work for me), but nothing really helps.
I refuse to take sleeping pills. I tried that a couple of times many years ago and I hated how they made me feel the next morning. I felt hung over! They did help me fall asleep but it wasn’t worth it for me to feel so “out of it” the next morning. Not only that I don’t like taking medications unless there is a legitimate need for it. I also know that people can become easily addicted to sleeping pills and I don’t want to take that kind of a chance with my health and well being.
Sleep is essential for optimum health. It is recommended that everyone gets 7-8 hours of sleep each night. I know that plenty of people can get by with a lot less, even half the recommend amount, but it’s not good for your health. Your body needs time to rest, recover and restore it’s self. Did you know that people who get the recommended amount of sleep each night tend to lose weight and keep weight off?
I used to work two part time jobs, attend college full time AND do an Internship when I was in college. I had an overnight job with USPS and didn’t get home until 5:00 AM. Some semesters I had 8:00 AM classes a couple of times a week. I would literally come home, shower, eat, get dressed and head back out the door to school. Most of the time I only had the chance to sleep from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. It was horrible and my system was totally messed up for years afterwards.
I recently heard about a product called reBloom. It’s a natural, drug free way to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. It also claimed to help you wake up feeling refreshed and well rested, not groggy and totally “out of it” like you feel when you take sleeping pills. I just had to try it myself to see how it worked.
I received two bottles of reBloom to review. Each bottle is 1-2 doses. You are suppose to take the whole bottle, but you can get by with just 1/2 of a bottle. The 1/2 a bottle is good for those nights that you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back to sleep.
The bottles are small and only take a few swallows to finish.
The drink it’s self tastes nasty. I wasn’t happy with the taste at all. It was gross but no different then taking medicine (it tasted better then most liquid medications).
The first time I took reBloom I only took 1/2 a bottle to see how my body reacted to it. I don’t have a stomach. Everything I eat and drink immediately starts to get absorbed and digested in my intestines.
After I drank 1/2 of the bottle of reBloom I checked the clock to see how long it took to kick in. For me it took 20 minutes before I really started to feel it. It didn’t make me pass out or anything like that but I did feel sleepy. It was around 11:30 when I went to bed. I was out like a light by midnight. I woke up at 6:00 AM when my husband woke me up to get the kids ready for school. I actually felt well rested and refreshed. I felt like I had slept for a very long time, even though it was a mere six hours. I wasn’t stumbling around the kitchen making breakfasts and lunches. I was actually coherent for a change.
Feeling “awake” in the morning actually helped me to get a lot accomplished. When I feel sleepy I simply cannot function. That morning I felt really good. It was a nice feeling.
The second time I tried reBloom I used the other half of the bottle I had already opened. Oddly enough I didn’t feel sleepy after taking it, not even a half hour later. I felt nothing, unlike the first time I tried reBloom.
Even though I didn’t feel different I was able to fall asleep at a fairly decent time. Once again I woke up feeling refreshed and not groggy.
The second bottle of reBloom I had I took the entire bottle in one shot. I felt sleepy within 15 minutes after taking it. To be honest I don’t even remember my head hitting the pillow. My husband told me the next morning that he woke up and found that the TV was still on and I was wearing my glasses. He had to take of my glasses and turn off the TV.
The last thing I remember is that Avatar was on TV. I got into bed and reached for the remote and that is is. That is all I remember! I don’t even think I had the remote in my hand. The next thing I remembered was my husband waking me up in the morning.
As it was with the two other times I took reBloom (1/2 of the bottle each time) I woke up feeling pretty good. I like that feeling. I can get used to that. I wish I could wake up feeling that way all the time. I might actually get more things accomplished during the day if that was the case.
Overall I think reBloom is a pretty good product. It works as a sleep aid but I really enjoy how I feel in the morning the most. It’s the morning after you take reBloom that impressed me the most. It was so nice to wake up feeling like I had a great night’s sleep.
reBloom doesn’t contain drugs, preservatives, artificial color or sweeteners. Each bottle contains only 5 calories. You can learn more about the ingredients here, http://rebloom.com/how-it-works/whats-in-rebloom.html.

My sleep cycle is so messed up it’s non-existent. No matter how hard I try, I end up sleeping all day and staying up all night. When I try to “fix” it by staying up all night and all day, I still can’t fall asleep the next night. Or if I do fall asleep, I end up sleeping 18 or more hours so I still sleep all day. I’m going to try this stuff, if it works then it’s well worth it!
