I love to entertain. I don’t get to entertain nearly as much as I’d like to. COVID really threw a wrench into everything. Now people want to Zoom just about everything. How in the world do you have a party via Zoom?
When I invite people into our home, I always go all out. Even if friends are coming over to watch a football game, I still make sure I have all bases covered with plenty of snacks, beverages and more. No typical “chips and dips” for me. I’m making a deli cut platter, mini sliders, seven layer dip… the works.
When it comes to serving food to my guests, I use whatever I can find in my home. I’m not proud to say that I had to use a plastic Santa Claus platter from the Dollar Store once, because I didn’t have anything else to use. And it wasn’t even the holiday season!
Last week, in the mail, I received a long package. I drew a blank as to what it was suppose to be (things have been so crazy these days, I don’t know if I’m coming or going half the time).
The outside of this pretty black cardboard box read the name Lynn & Liana Designs. Inside the box I found the MOST BEAUTIFUL – and I mean it – cheese board and serving board I have ever seen!
Lynn & Liana Designs is a family business. CMO and owner, Melissa, is proud that her charcuterie boards are one of a kind, hand-poured with plant-based resin, meticulously crafted individual works for art; no two items are the same.
This board is absolutely gorgeous. The design reminds me of the ocean, how the waves slash against the beach and cause sea foam.
The board I received is one of their large size boards. They have a smaller one, and a larger one. They even have round board, a board for bread and other products.
According to the brand;
These pieces blend gorgeous Acacia hardwood and an eco-friendly epoxy to create a one-of-a-kind piece of serveware for your home. These cheese boards are perfect for serving a group of 4-6 people.
My photos do NOT do this board justice. It looks a million times nicer in person.
The resign design, as I mentioned earlier, reminds me of the ocean waves. Every time I look at it, I think about the ocean.
I believe the one I have is navy, white and metallic. The boards are also available in several other colors.
Since these are made with hand poured resin, no two designs are going to look alike. The way the colors swirl around gives each and every one of these boards their own unique look. Kind of like snowflakes where no two are alike (how scientists know that to be true, I’ll never understand).
This is both a functional serving board AND a piece of art in one piece. I’m looking to find a way to hang it on our wall when not in use. I like that it both reminds me of the ocean, and it looks good hanging in the kithen.
The brand recommends that you wash by hand and let air dry (or use a soft towel to dry). You can cut on the board. The brand also recommends that you use food safe mineral oil on the wood to keep it looking it’s best.

The wood is beautiful. It feels nice to the touch too. It’s very smooth. I actually hate the idea of cutting on it. I might cut elsewhere and place food on it to keep it looking pristine.
These board would be the perfect gift for those who are newly engaged, newly wed or new home owners. While others are gifting toasters and cutlery, you’re gift of one of these gorgeous boards would probably be their favorite. It’s unique enough where no everyone would think to gift something like this, and practical enough for the gifted to use and enjoy for many years to come.
These boards are great for serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and snacks on, as well as fruit, cheese, breads and meats – desserts too!
No more plastic Santa Claus platter to serve Fourth of July guests anymore. Now I have something I can use that I am proud to show off.
