One of my most favorite things about Easter, aside from waking up Easter morning to a basket full of goodies, is hunting for Easter Eggs.
We didn’t do it often when I was growing up, so when we did it was a very special occasion. Back in the day we hunted for real eggs (ones we colored and decorated). It wasn’t until my kids were little did we hunt for plastic Easter Eggs filled with treats and treasures.
The eggs used to be filled with small candies. Then my father started to add money to the eggs, including dollar bills and the grand prize of a $5 bill. Needless to say the kids were super excited to go on an Easter Egg hunt at Grandpa and Grandma’s house.
One year my mom filled eggs up with chocolate and hide them the day before Easter. It just so happened to be super hot that Easter and all the chocolate inside the eggs were melted. It was pretty messy.
Another year the kids had to do an egg hunt in the basement because it was pouring rain outside. Needless to say that wasn’t too fun for them. They were more worried about spiders and creepy crawlies than finding the eggs.
A company called Choco Treasure has taken Easter Egg hunting up to a whole new level. They offer consumers chocolate eggs filled with toys and other goodies. That’s right – a CHOCOLATE egg filled with treasure. What a fun idea!
Choco Treasure combines premium milk chocolate from Switzerland, interactive toy surprises that are safe for all ages, and a patented capsule that separates the chocolate egg halves to create a fun, safe, exciting and delicious treat for kids. Every toy in Choco Treasure is either wearable, playable, stickable, or buildable – and every toy is collectible.
Each Choco Treasure Egg is only 60 calories too.
Some of the fun treasures found inside the eggs include slap bracelets, figurines, 3-D vertical puzzles, stickers, magnets, or even a full 52-card deck of mini playing cards.
Choco Treasure Eggs come in a variety of character designs and treasures including Hello Kitty, Baby Animals, Minions, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda 3 and Penguins of Madagascar.
Choco Treasure Eggs are available for year round enjoyment too. They are even available in sport balls such as soccer balls and baseballs, making them a great goodie bag treat for birthday parties or even classroom parties (make sure no one has a chocolate allergy).
The eggs are a decent size too.
I was sent some of the Choco Treasure eggs to try out for myself. We received a bunch of Hello Kitty eggs.
There is just the right amount of chocolate that covers the egg – not too much, not too little. It’s just the right amount to satisfy your chocolate and/or sweet tooth cravings.
The toys are really cute. I especially love the figurines and stickers.
The 3D puzzles are cute, but my fingers are not nimble enough to put them together. You need little fingers to do that.
You can find the fun filled Choco Treasure eggs at places like Walmart, Target, 5 Below and CostPlus World Market, to name a few. They retail from about $1 – $1.99 each, depending on the retailer. They are also available on the Choco Treasure website.

What do you think about Choco Treasure eggs? Do you think they would make a great addition to your child/grandchild’s Easter basket and/or Easter Egg Hunt?
