Now that you are almost done buying all the gifts on your holiday shopping list it’s now time to think about wrapping them. I don’t know about you but I am NOT a fan of wrapping. If the package is a perfect rectangle I’m OK with it (something the size of a shirt box). Anything else (square, round, long, big…) I can’t wrap. Let me rephrase that. I “can” wrap them, but I don’t always do a good job. Wrapping is not my forte. Some people are skilled at wrapping gifts. Sadly that is not me. Thank goodness for gift bags and my dear hubby. 🙂
I admire people who can make packages look pretty with ribbons and bows. I guess my stubby little fingers are not as nimble as they should be to give all the presents I wrap a professional look to them.
Check out this great “How To” video from BJ’s Wholesale Club on how to wrap presents. You can also find the video here http://bit.ly/Us6LsN.
I love the tip with the double sided wrapping paper. That is an awesome idea.
I am in love with the Living Home collection, sold exclusively at BJ’s Wholesale Club. They can make anyone, even a non-wrapper like me, make professional looking wrapped packages.
I have a roll of Living Home wrapping paper. The roll is huge with A LOT of paper which allowed me to wrap many presents, including HUGE gifts. I love that it has a foil appearance because the Christmas tree lights dance off of the wrapping paper.
One of our cats, Bella (if you follow my blog regularly she’s the one with Asthma, allergies and Thyroid issues) was fascinated by how the wrapping paper shimmered and sparkled. We even ended up giving her a small piece to bat around so she’d let us get some wrapping done.
Most of the pictures are not that good but at least one of the photos you can see how sparkly the paper is. It’s also a quality paper that won’t rip easily.
The Living Home gift bags are the BEST looking gift bags I have ever seen. Not only are they beautiful (some are very cute!), but they also have accents on them like feathers, sparkles, 3D images and ribbons. I have a few of my daughter’s gifts in gift bags from the Living Home collection. They are so nice that I am going to make sure she opens them carefully (they are taped closed) so that I can use them again next year. 🙂
Here are a few of the wonderful gift bags. I’m sorry that the photos are not that great. My camera is not cooperating with me lately.
The Living Home gift tags are equally as beautiful as the gift bags. The tags are so lovely that they can be re-used as ornaments for the Christmas tree. In fact my kids wanted me to save some of them to use on the small tree they use in their room next year. They are the perfect size for small trees, and large trees too.
My favorite Living Home gift tag is the fuzzy Polar Bear. He really is fuzzy!
Just like with the gift bags, the gift tags are embellished with ribbons, beads, buttons, glitter, faux fur, feathers and 3D images. Each one comes with an attached ribbon. On the back there is a To/From section where you can write the giftee’s name and who the gift is from.
The Living Home gift tag collection comes in a HUGE package with dozens of gift tags.
Aside from the fuzzy polar bear another favorite of mine are the ice skates. They look like they have real metal blades! Plus it has strings for laces. They look so real!
Here are a few more photos (although not good quality photos) of some of the other tags in the collection. The photos don’t do them justice. They are so much nicer in person.
I also have some lovey wire ribbon from the Living Home collection too. I really like it but try as I might I just couldn’t make a nice bow with it. I think it was a bit too thick for my skill level. I think if it was a wee bit thinner I might have been able to work with it better. Don’t get me wrong – it’s beautiful ribbon. It’s sparkly and would make a great addition to any wrapped gift. I simply couldn’t get my little fingers to make the bows look as nice as I wanted to.
I’ll update the post with photos of wrapped gifts after Christmas so you can see how lovely the gifts looked.
*Update – I can’t find the photos of the wrapped gifts that I took. UGH!!!!! All I currently have photos of is what is left of the wrapping paper *
The Living Home coordinating gift wrap collection is available exclusively at BJ’s Wholesale Club. To find a BJ’s near you visit www.BJs.com. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest.
