The weather has been unseasonably cold lately. I certainly don’t mind. I honestly hate the heat and humidity. I love summer because you get to do fun things with your family but I am not a fan of the heat, humidity and having to slather on globs of sunscreen just to walk out my door.
I’m a fall person. I LOVE Autumn! I love the cool days and slightly chilly nights (I sleep so much better when there is a bit of chill in the air). I love the changing colors of the leaves. I love decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love everything about the season.
I even love the scent of the fall season – leaves, pumpkins, apples, spices. It’s wonderful!
I live in a condo so it’s not easy to bring home a lot of the scents I enjoy (we lack room). The best I can do is open up all our windows and hope for a nice breeze to bring the smell of leaves inside our home. Or I can do the next best thing – use scented products.
If you read my blog on a regular basis you might recall how much I LOVE things that are scented and make my home smell nice. Candles, plugins, diffusers, sprays, wax melts, oils… I have them all. I have a large variety of scents to suit my mood. I even use scented hand soaps the match the holidays and seasons.
I’m ready for the fall to begin. The cool weather has made me even more anxious to get ready for fall.
The other day I plugged in my Air Wick Shenendoah Apple Harvest plug in oils in the bathroom and the kitchen. I often have plugins plugged in and my family doesn’t make note of it usually. However this time both my kids and my husband all commented on how it smelled like fall in our home. They never attributed it to the plugin in. They thought maybe I had sprayed something in the rooms.
It’s true! Air Wick Shenendoah Apple Harvest is the epitome Autumn scent. It reminds me of the things my family loves do to in the fall season – apple picking and pumpkin picking/carving. It even has a bit of that “crispness” that Autumn smells like.
Last night it was another cool night. I turned on my wickless candles, our fireplace (not a real one – a fake one that is part of our television stand) and plugged in my tart warmer and warmed my Air Wick Acadia wax melts. Acadia is scented with sweet Vanilla and Pumpkin. I LOVE PUMPKIN SCENTS!
I need a faster tart warmer. Mine takes a long time to warm up and melt the wax. I’m impatience sometimes. I want to smell that beautiful Autumn scent ASAP. I don’t want to have to wait. 🙂
The the Air Wick Acadia wax melts, the candles, the fireplace and the chilly weather it WAS fall in our home last night. I kept closing my eyes and taking in a deep breath and enjoy being in the moment because before I know it the heat and humidity will be back. The only good thing is that fall will be here before we know it.
This is Air Wick’s second fall National Park Collection as part of their partnership with the National Parks Foundation. The scents were chosen and voted on by consumers through a Facebook contest last fall on Air Wick’s Facebook page. The winning scents are;
- Great Smoky Mountains
- Shenendoah
- Acadia
New scents this fall including the essences of Isle Royale and Cuyahoga Valley. I have not tried those two scents yet but I plan on picking them up when I see them in the store.
Air Wick’s National Park Collection of fragrances for the fall are available as scented-oil refills, freshmatic spray refills and wax melts at retailers nationwide for $3.00-$4.99.
Have you tried any of these scents yet? Do you have a favorite Air Wick National Parks Collection fragrance?
Do you have a favorite seasonal scent?
