I have a very eclectic taste in music. My iPod goes from one extreme to the next. Currently on my iPod you’ll find music from Metallica, Bee Gees, songs from the Nutcracker Suite, Adam Lambert, David Soul (as in Starsky & Hutch), Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Rod Stewart, Black Eyed Peas, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons and Dean Martin. I pretty much love music from all different genres including heavy metal, rock, opera, classical, 80’s, 70’s, 50’s, dance… The only genre I’m not overly keen on is country music. Some country music is OK, but for the most part it’s not my “cup of tea”. Neither is rap.
I really like the classic artists from years gone by including Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra. I love the “big band” type of music in the background. The songs are always so fun and innocent. Unlike today’s music you won’t hear Frank or Dean singing about beating up Police Officers or “jacking” cars like in some “cr*p rap” songs I’ve heard (pardon my choice of words). Their songs are more about love and happiness. Songs like Fly Me to the Moon and New York, New York are just fun and entertaining songs.
There is a new Frank Sinatra album that was recently released called Sinatra: Best of the Best. The album features 23 classic songs sung by Sinatra.
1. I’ve Got The World On A String
2. My Funny Valentine
3. Young At Heart
4. In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning
5. Love And Marriage
6. You Make Me Feel So Young
7. I’ve Got You Under My Skin
8. The Lady Is A Tramp
9. Witchcraft
10. All The Way
11. Come Fly With Me
12. Angel Eyes
13. Nice ‘N’ Easy

15. The Way You Look Tonight
16. My Kind Of Town
17. Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words)
18. It Was A Very Good Year
19. Strangers In The Night

23. Theme From New York, New York
I’ve listened to the album several times already. I play it while I am working at my computer. A few times I have even sung along to it (much to the dismay of my kids – ha ha).
This is a nice assortment of classic Sinatra songs. When I think of Sinatra, most of the songs featured on this album come to mind. I’m glad that New York, New York made the cut for this album. As New Yorkers we appreciate that song. Even my kids like that song.
If you are Sinatra fan you’ll want to check out this new album. If someone on your shopping list is a Sinatra fan then this album would be the perfect holiday gift. If you a new fan of Frank Sinatra then this would be the ideal “starter” album.
The album retails for about $9.99 so it’s super affordable and will provide you with years of classic entertainment.

What a great album to come out just in the for Christmas. My entire family loves “Frankie”. He’s great to play at work for background music, and we always play Rat Pack music when we entertain – it’s something everyone seems to love. The price is great, too – I’m going to pick up a few for stocking stuffers.

Great collection! I love Frank! I devour any biography about him and many of his songs were played at our wedding!
