Sunday, September 20, 2015 is the 67 annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Please check with your local television guide for channel and airtime.
I love watching awards shows. It’s fun to predict who the winners will be. I also like the unexpected shocks when someone, a film or television show sweeps the awards unexpectedly.
One of my “Bucket List” items is to attend an awards show – complete with “the look” and a red carpet worthy dress. Maybe… someday…
I love how flawless and beautiful (and handsome) the actresses and actors look on the red carpet.
You and I might not be walking the red carpet along side the Emmy hopefuls, but that doesn’t mean we still can get “the look.”
You can give yourself the start studded treatment with these Covergirl, Pantene, Olay, Venus and Crest 3D White products.
I received a fun gift box full of red carpet worthy products to review. I love receiving surprises in the mail.
I received the following…
Get head turning glam with Covergirl Bombshell Mascara and Covergirl Bombshell POW-der Brow + Liner.
I love, love, LOVE the Covergirl Bombshell Mascara. It really helps people like me with sparse, short lashes get those “LOOK AT ME” eyes.
I was not born (or blessed) with super long, thick lashes like my husband, daughter and son. They got the beautiful lashes, not me. So I have to rely on mascara.
For my normal day-to-day look I just wear a coat or two of mascara. I don’t need a ton of it. When I get dressed up I love to have eyes that “pop.”
This mascara has two sides. One side adds volume and the other side seals it in and adds color. You can add as many coats of each one to suit your preferences. I use two coats of each.
WOW! My eyes really pop. I tried to take a decent selfie to show you the difference but nothing turned out too good.
I like that they give my eyes the “wow factor” without them looking like I have spiders on my eyes (I’m sure most people know that look) or fake eyelashes. They also don’t look clumpy like lashes look like when you wear too much mascara.
The Covergirl Bombshell POW-der Brown + Liner helps you to fill in your eyebrows and make them look fuller. I have VERY sparse eye brows. I’m actually embarrassed by how sparse they are. It’s how I was born. They have always been that way. I don’t even pluck or wax them because there is not much there.
This brow liner goes on a little wet but instantly dries into a power-like form. You can use a brow brush to remove the excess and make sure your brows are completely filled in. The excess wipes off with a tissue or Q-tip.
I couldn’t really use the one I was sent because the color is too dark. I need one for more blondish hair.
You can use this as an eyeliner too. That is how I am using it. The brush is a bit thick so you have to make sure to lightly apply it to your eyes or you’ll end up with a huge streak.
If you want your eyes to make a statement these products from Covergirl can help you achieve that.
Strong hair, beautiful you with Pantene shampoo and conditioner.
I have always been a fan of the brand. I love how my hair looks and feels when I use their products. My hair always looks and feels so soft and “touchable.”
Those who are fortunate to walk the red carpet always make sure their hair is in tip-top shape. To achieve the perfect hair style you need healthy hair. By using these Pantene products your hair will be picture perfect for all those glamorous photos you’ll be taking on the red carpet.
Contours over curves for flawless skin with Gillette Venus Swirl. This razor has a special “neck” made with a “Flexiball” that glides over your curves to ensure that no hair is missed and to make shaving easier and more comfortable.
I’m sure most ladies can relate to how difficult it can be to get a razor to smoothly glide over and around your knees and ankles. Those areas are not flat. They have “peaks and valleys.” The “Flexiball” on this razor allows the “neck” to move around a bit to it can adjust to any changes on your body – meaning it will continue to hug your skin around your knees and ankles.
This razor also has five individually adjusting contour blades to make your skin look and feel amazing.
No red carpet dress would look complete without a pair of show stopping legs.
Get stunning skin with Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
I’ve only started to use this product so I haven’t had any long term results – yet.
I do like the way it goes on to my skin. It goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. My skin feels really nice after it’s applied.
I hear a lot of great things about the Olay Regenerist product line and I am looking forward to seeing how it makes m skin look and feel a few weeks from now.
You certainly want you face to look flawless in all those paparazzi photos of you on the red carpet.
Extend the life of your color with Clairol Root Touch Up from Nice ‘n Easy.
I have to color my hair. If not it would look like celebrity chef Paula Dean’s hair. That might be a good hair color for her, but not for me. I’m not giving up without a fight. I’ll keep those gray, silver and white hairs away for as long as I can.
I hate it when I color my hair (I do my own) and a few weeks later my roots start showing the hair colors I DON’T want. I like the idea of doing a touch up to help extend the life of my coloring.
I couldn’t use the color that was sent to me (wrong color) but I am still interested in trying the product so I going to look for a matching color for me the next time I’m at Rite Aid.
Flash a brilliant smile with Crest 3D White Toothpaste. No red carpet look would be complete without a beautiful smile and lovely white teeth.
I’m not one to smile with my teeth (I never have been), but that doesn’t mean I don’t want nice, white teeth. I still talk to people so my teeth are seen. I want to make sure they look their very best.
I just started using this product too so I can’t give you any feedback on the results – yet. In the mean time I can tell you that it tastes good and leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. My whole family has been enjoying this toothpaste.
As you can see, you don’t have to spend a fortune to look your very best – whether you are walking the red carpet or simply walking your child to school or running errands around town. You can get the same look for less with these fine products.
Look for these products at your local Rite Aid. To find a location near you visit RiteAid.com. You can also find the brand, as well as the brands listed in this post, on social media.
How do you get “red carpet ready?” Is there a product that you find you can’t do without when looking your best? Feel free to share your thoughts.
