I just published a post on some fabulous Father’s Day gift ideas that are unique and “out of the box” from traditional gift ideas (mugs, cologne…). I have a few more great ideas you might want to take into consideration for that special man in your life.
All of these gift ideas are great for women too. They make great gifts year round, as well as practical products that you might want to pick up for yourself for no specific reason.
If you would like to read the first post, you can read it here – Great Gifts for Father’s Day (gifts for others and yourself too!) – PART 1.
Continuing on some awesome gift ideas for Father’s Day.
Big Dill Pickleball Co.
Paddles start at $79.99 – bigdillpickleballcompany.com
For the pickleball-loving dad, Big Dill Pickleball offers the perfect paddles.
To be honest, I have only recently learned about Pickleball. According to Wikipedia;
Pickleball is an indoor or outdoor racket/paddle sport in which two players, or four players, hit a perforated hollow plastic ball over a 36-inch-high net using solid-faced paddles. Opponents on either side of the net hit the ball back and forth until one side commits a rule infraction.
It’s kind of a combination of tennis and ping pong ball, if you ask me.
My husband never heard of it at all, so at least I’m not alone. I guess we need to get out more (ha ha).
Here is some more information about Big Dill Pickleball Co.

I was sent two paddles and some balls to try out for myself. We don’t really have the space where we live (nor do we have a net), so I brought the rackets and balls to work with me.
We have a ping pong table/set at work. The kids often just whack the ping pong ball back and forth without the net. Since ping pong balls are so small (and easily lost), I thought the pickleball rackets and balls I was sent to review would be perfect. Plus we can sometimes access the nets in the gym (if I catch one of the PT teachers before they leave for the day).
I should not that there is plastic wrapped on the handles of the pickleball paddles. I am not sure if it needs to be removed or not. I chose to leave it on to protect the ends of the paddles (handles). The paddles for the ping pong set are looking a bit shabby, so I thought leaving the plastic on might help keep them from being worn down too much (my work kids are rough on our supplies and equipment).
Because I cannot legally take photos of my work kids for my blog, I can only tell you that they kids are having a blast with the pickleball set. They fight over whose turn it is, that is how much they enjoy it.
We have yet to use a net at work, but that doesn’t stop the kids from playing with this set. They just like to hit it back and forth and try not to miss the hit. They make up their own rules, which is fine.
With the warm weather now here, having some fun and easy outdoors activities families can do together is a wonderful thing, and pickleball is a great option.
StoveShelf
Price: Starting at $39.99 – stoveshelf.com
This is one of those products (just like the Hot Logic lunch box) where you think to yourself, “why hasn’t someone thought of this sooner?”
StoveShelf is a magnetic shelf that perfectly fits on top of your stove, providing you with extra room to store your spices, sauces, or other seasonings. You can also use it to house display decorations.
When I received the StoveShelf to review, I was concerned because the StoveShelf is perfectly straight, where as our stove has a curve on the top of it. I also didn’t want to have to permamently attach the self in case it didn’t work out or fit properly.
The StoveShelf works with magnets, making it easy to reposition and/or remove if needed. That is an excellent idea! I love that it uses magnets instead of screws or glues.
StoveShelf also looks perfect on our curve topped stove. You can’t even tell that it’s curved. The top of the stove looks prefectly straight now thanks to StoveShelf.
StoveShelf is available in three different sizes – 20″, 24″, and 30″. It’s also available in different colors – black, and silver.
I hope that this gift guide for Father’s Day has helped you to come up with a great gift idea for that special man in your life (or yourself).
What are you planning to gift your father (or husband) this year? Are you considering any gifts mentioned in the gift guide? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts. I always love to hear from readers.
