Do you hang up stockings in your family? Does Santa fill the stockings with yummy treats and token gifts?
I know some families that fill the stockings with so many wonderful things it’s a present in itself.
Growing up Santa always gave me an apple, orange, candy, crayons and occasionally a few small toys. I used to do the same for my kids. Now that they are older it’s harder to find things to put in their stockings aside from candy. They are too big for toys.
This year my kids, and my husband, are getting ChapStick in their stockings. Not only are there holiday flavors available but fun holiday packaging too.
The new seasonal flavors are Gingerbread Kiss (nice!) and my personal favorite Candy Cane. I love Candy Cane! Last year I bought as many as I could find so that I had enough to last me the whole year long. I am so happy that ChapStick brought that flavor back this year.
The limited edition flavors come with a gift tag on the back of the package. You could easily drop a few of these in a stocking or use them on top of wrapped presents (use the to/from tag on the ChapStick instead of a regular one).
The flavors are only around for a short time. You can find them at mass retail locations across the country as well as food and drug stores. The prices range from $1.01 – $1.99 each.
If you are looking for something a little more, ChapStick has available limited edition Holiday Tins. Each keepsake has four ChapStick lip balms inside which can help keep your lips, or your loved ones, moisturized all year long. These also make great little token gifts for a co-worker, neighbor, teacher or friend.
The tins come in a variety of colors and designs. They each have different flavors of ChapStick inside.
Gold Pattern, Purple & Gold and Pink Sparkle tins contain Strawberry, Cherry and Spearmint ChapStick. These are available at Target for $4.99 each.
Plaid and Snowflake contain Strawberry, Cherry and Spearmint and the Diagonal Candy Cane Stripe tin features the limited edition Candy Cane flavor. These are available at Walmart for $4.99 each.
The Candy Cane Swirl tin contains the limited edition Candy Cane ChapStick and is sold exclusively at Walgreens for $5.99.
In addition to the keepsake tins, ChapStick also has available this holiday season ChapStick Collector’s Edition Ornament Tins. These also make great gifts and stocking stuffers. They can also be used to store keepsakes in year after year, plus they make fun ornaments, especially for the ChapStick lover in your life.
The Collector’s Edition Ornament Tins are available in three festive designs – Red, White & Sparkle, Candy Cane Swirl and Red, White & Blue Candy Cane. Each tin is filled with three Candy Cane ChapSticks. These ornaments are sold exclusively at Target in the seasonal aisle for $4.99.
My husband has been using Cherry ChapStick since he was in middle school (we graduated from high school in 86′, so that should give you an idea of how long it’s been). Giving him the gift of ChapStick is not uncommon. I often buy him ChapStick for Christmas and his birthday.
My kids love ChapStick too. I a going to give them the Holiday Tins in their stockings. After they are done with the ChapStick they can use the tin to hold change (my son) and earrings (my daughter) or other trinkets.
I am giving my husband the Collector’s Edition Ornament. Since he’s a big fan of ChapStick it seems only fitting to give him a ChapStick ornament.
To learn more about these and other ChapStick products you can visit the brand online at ChapStick.com. The brand is also on Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
Have you tried the limited edition flavors yet (Candy Cane or Gingerbread Kiss)? What do you think about the collectors tin and ornaments? Would you give them as gifts or stocking stuffers?

I hadn’t seen the gingerbread, but I’ll have to find it to try! I’ve been using the red velvet ChapStick recently.

These are so cute! Despite having way too many lip glosses, I may have to see if we have the Gingerbread ones up here! Thanks!

Oh wow! As a major player in the use of chapstick I’m glad to hear of this. My lips get chapped every year and winters are the worst! 🙁
I have got to try out some of these this year(for myself…yes…all my preciouses,) and I’m a sucker for collector tins. I will often spend money, that I shouldn’t be spending, on a video game when I see it in collectors tins @ ebgames.
