I work with young children when I am not blogging. The kids I work with are from grades Kindergarten to eight grade.
Curing is NOT allowed, but occasionally I do hear the older kid say “damn it” or even worse (sigh…). They KNOW they are not allowed to say bad words.
I have to laugh at the younger kids I work with. They think the silliest things are “bad words.” One of the biggest “bad words” the little ones gasp at when someone says it is “poopyhead.” For us adults its the equivalent of saying “sh*t head,” which is not nice to say to someone, but it’s not the worse bad word either.
Believe it or not someone actually came up with a game called Poopyhead. It’s actually a big seller online at Target, Toys R Us and Amazon. Toy reps have even reported that endless independent and specialty store have signed up to sell the game.
The game includes five headbands (elastic bands with a brown pile resembling #2), thus the name Poopyhead, that players will eventually wear once they lose a round. After five rounds, the player with the most piles atop their head is the game loser.
I knew the kids I work with would have fun with a game like this. I took it to the older kids I worked with. Oh my goodness! I think they spent more time laughing then they did actually playing the game.
To play the game you dole out the cards to all the players. Then you take turns trying to put down cards in a specific order – Toilet, Poop, Toilet Paper and Wash Hands. The card you put down cannot be the same color as the current card on top of the pile. When the sequence of cards is laid out you put them aside and start over with a new pile.
The first person to get rid of all their cards hits the whoopie cushion (to make a fart noise) and then that round is over. The person with the most cards left has to put a poopie pile on their head.
As an adult the game does sound kind of gross, but… if you were a kid chances are you would find this game funny. I think as we get older we lose some of our child-like qualities (not me! I refuse to grow up – LOL). I think many people who are saying to themselves right now “Eww… what a gross game,” would probably loved the game as a child. Don’t you agree?
Poopyhead is available at many retail locations. The game retails for $16.99. There is even a free accompanying app in both the iTunes and Google Play stores to extend play.
I’m sorry that I don’t have photo of the kids playing the game. They are not my children therefore I am not allowed to share their photos.

What do you think about the Poopyhead game? Do you think your family would have fun with it?
