Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. That just blows my mind. A little over a month ago was Christmas.
My husband and I don’t go crazy on Valentine’s Day. We celebrate the anniversary of our first date every year, which happens to also be in February. For that reason, we combine both Valentine’s Day and our anniversary into one. We usually do dinner and a movie, or dinner and the comedy club. Due to COVID, this year we’re going to our favorite restaurant and then spending the night in a hotel.
Back when we were dating, and the first few years of our marriage, we did go all out for Valentine’s Day.
My husband used to always buy me chocolates (which is so cliché), but truth be told, we always have chocolate of some kind in our home. I love chocolate and I enjoy having a piece of two just about every day.
Flowers are also a great option for Valentine’s Day. I’ll admit that I love receiving flowers, however, it’s such a shame to spend all that money on a beautiful arrangement, only to have them die a few days later. It’s also crazy to me to spend a small fortune on a bouquet of flowers that won’t last past a week. It’s as if that money could be better spent elsewhere.
You can purchase artificial flowers and bouquets. The realistic ones cost as much, if not more, than the actual thing.
Don’t get me wrong, realistic, artificial flowers are a great alternative, however, if you are sending them across the country, shipping can be costly.
What if I told you CAN send flowers to anyone for Valentine’s Day (mom, wife, girlfriend, best friend…) and YEAR ROUND (birthday, anniversary, graduation…), that will last “forever” – would you be interested in learning more?
Let me introduce you to Fresh Cut Paper. Fresh Cut Paper makes beautiful, realistic looking PAPER bouquets.
FreshCut Paper is an innovative and gorgeous brand that takes the best of both worlds and combines it into a lovely pop-up 3D paper flower arrangement that recipients can always enjoy. Placing one of these stunning, life-size cards on a tabletop, mantle, or desk brings so much color and joy to any room. Add personalization to send a loving custom message too.
The brand is the brainchild of renowned designer and entrepreneur Peter Hewitt whose creations have graced the Museum of Modern Art, Disney, Revlon, and Crate & Barrel.
FreshCut Paper was kind enough to send me some samples of their lovely floral bouquets to review.
The arrangements come in a large envelope that you can mail to anyone around the world (remove the outer band before mailing).
Once you have the envelope in, open it up to reveal a “bouquet” of flowers that come “wrapped” like a real bouquet. Remove the flowers from the “wrap”, and “puff” them up as per the included directions. Ta da! You have a charming floral arrangement that you can display anywhere – dining room table, desk, bedside, coffee table… anywhere you want. These arrangements can be displayed anywhere because they are very portable (they are paper after all).
You’ll also find a beautiful gift card inside where you can write your special message.
When you are “fluffing” up your arrangement, you can gently bend and move the flowers to your liking.
How adorable are these? I love that they all look like they are sitting in a vase of water. Some of the vases even have writing on them, as if they were canning jars. FreshCut Paper took care of every little detail in the creation of these floral arrangements.
My photos DO NOT do these justice. In all fairness, we have poor lighting in my home. The colors on all of these is very vivid.
There are currently a dozen different options on the brand’s website, including the most popular Valentine’s Day flowers – red roses.
If you wish to no longer display your arrangement, but you want to keep it for another time, simply flatted the paper arrangement and tuck it away some place safe. I plan on doing that when I decorate for Halloween and Christmas. Once the holidays are over, I plan on displaying all my FreshCut Paper arrangements again.
If you no longer wish to keep your FreshCut Paper flowers, you can recycle them. They are 100% recylclabe, unlike artificial floral arrangements. In addition, FreshCut Paper plants a tree for EACH bouquet that is sold. So it’s a win-win situation all around.
Wouldn’t these be wonderful for someone in a nursing home? They can be enjoyed every day with no worries about them dying or having to be watered. I love that idea.
If you are interested in checking out all the different bouquet arrangements available, visit the brand directly at FreshCutPaper.com. You can purchase them on the brand’s website, as well as on Amazon. On Amazon they have Prime shipping, so this is a great “last minute” alternative if you need someone for someone’s birthday, Valentine’s Day or another special occasion.
You can also check out the brand on social media. All of their links are fond on the bottom of their website.
What do you think about these pretty floral bouquet/arrangements? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts. I always love to hear from readers. Personally, I wish they had lilacs. I would love a bouquet of purple lilacs.
