Last year when I was out in LA and visited Walt Disney Animation Studios I had the opportunity to see some conception art for the new Disney film coming out on Thanksgiving called Frozen. From what I saw this movie is going to be amazing. The scenery and the characters look wonderful.
I thought readers might want to get a sneak peak at this beautiful (and funny!) film. Of all the places to show a teaser clip, Disney teamed up with the Weather Channel. I guess that makes sense since Frozen is set in an icy landscape.
Here is more information, as well as how you can catch a sneak peek at the film TODAY.
In anticipation of the first day of summer, The Weather Company (Weather) and Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, will offer an exclusive sneak peek of the trailer for Disney’s new movie Frozen, a stunning animated comedy adventure. Marking Disney’s first-ever trailer debut with Weather and the first-ever trailer debut on any Weather property, the trailer is exclusively available June 18, 2013, on weather.com online and on mobile web, as well as on The Weather Channel apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
“Like many of Disney’s most memorable films, ‘Frozen’ is a comedy adventure with immense scope and scale, intense action, true heartfelt moments and characters whose comedy comes from who they are and the situations they’re put in,” said ‘Frozen’ producer Peter Del Vecho. “So we wanted to introduce two of those characters: Olaf, a snowman who sees the world through rose-colored glasses, and Sven—a loyal Labrador-like reindeer who, in this trailer, wants nothing more than to snack on Olaf’s carrot nose. Everyone working on the movie had fun letting this pair take center stage—or ice, as the scene called for, which makes it perfect for weather.com.”
The Weather Company will be the first to premiere the trailer for Frozen. The exclusive sneak peek of the trailer will show for one day on Weather’s digital properties. From the weather.com site, watch the trailer, complete with a lead-in introduction and summer outlook featuring Kyla Grogan from The Weather Channel. Then check your localized forecast to see your weather for the first day of summer on June 21. The collaboration includes a homepage takeover on weather.com, and online content will coincide with Disney’s tagline, “Feeling Hot, Think Frozen.” There will also be content on The Weather Channel network beginning today, including an ice-carving segment creating Disney characters.
“Disney’s new movie Frozen has a natural tie-in with weather, of course, and it’s been proven that weather directly affects consumers’ movie-going decisions,” said Curt Hecht, chief global revenue officer at The Weather Company. “A top-20 site online and a leading mobile site, weather.com is a family-friendly site that reaches millions of people each day. It’s the perfect place for Disney to reach a mass audience and create big buzz for a great new movie.”
In Frozen, fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off an epic journey – teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (Tarzan, Surf’s Up) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, Wreck-It Ralph), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog). Featuring music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (In Transit), Frozen is in theaters in 3D on November 27, 2013.
To see the trailer, visit Weather.com online or via mobile browsers, or The Weather Channel apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.

What do you think about the film? Doesn’t it look funny? I can’t wait to see it around Thanksgiving.
