I love jewelry. I have an eccletic variety of jewelry at my disposal. Most of my jewelry is for every day wear. I don’t own any expensive pieces. I do have an antique garnet ring from my great-great-aunt and a sapphire and diamond ring that belonged to my mom. But aside from that I tend to stick with jewelry that I can wear at work, running errands and a night out with my husband or friends.
Bracelets are one of my favorite types of jewelry. I like bracelets because they are so versatile. You can wear one or several. You can also wear them on both wrists, or just one wrist.
Let me introduce you to my most recent piece of jewelry that I acquired. It was sent to me to review. It’s from a One Tribe Bracelet. But first, a little backstory.
Mike LeBeau is the founder of Tribe Outdoors – a mobile application for connecting outdoor enthusiasts. Their mission is to connect people with nature, the present moment and each other to share meaningful experiences together – OFFLINE.
Nearly three years ago, the loss of Mike’s sister to cancer led him to Colombia in search of closure and direction in his life. Along his journey, he met a very special tribe who’ve held on to their ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with the Earth. They graciously introduced him to their ancient traditions and culture, and their relationship has grown ever since.
Tribe Outdoors has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to advance a new prototype which will bring their mobile application to all platforms. They’ve partnered with the tribe from Colombia to offer a very rare and authentic reward for anyone who supports their Kickstarter campaign.
The One Tribe Bracelet symbolizes respect for the Earth and reminds us that we’re all one tribe – connected through nature. There are over 1200 beads hand-woven in every bracelet with beautiful symmetry and symbolic design.
By purchasing a bracelet, you’re helping Tribe Outdoors bring their new prototype to life. In addition, a high percentage of every pledge goes directly back to the tribe in Colombia weaving these bracelets for our community, thereby providing another source of income for their families. You not only get good Karma by supporting this movement but also get to wear good Karma.
The One Tribe Bracelet is made by hand from a community of Colombian artisans. They hold their ancestral wisdom for living in harmony with Earth to heart. They have respect for our Earth and Earth’s natural resources.
One Tribe Bracelets are made by hand with over 1,200 beads, bringing a unique style and intention to the outdoors. The symbolism behind the bracelets resonate deeply with their mission of connecting people with nature and the present moment.
I was sent one of these amazing bracelets to review. Pictures do not do it justice.
I was worried that the bracelet wouldn’t fit because I have a big wrist. The bracelet is adjustable so it can fit just about anyone.
The design is beautiful. I love the nature inspired color of the beads.
It’s hard to believe that this was handmade. It must have taken a long time to make this one bracelet. I can’t imagine how they make them in mass amounts. It must take a lot of time to weave each and every bead.
I know this sounds odd, but I love the way the bracelet feels. It’s very soft and smooth. I find myself playing with it even when I’m not wearing it. It’s have the same effect (for me) as a fidget spinner does for others. I can rub it against my fingers and it has a very soothing quality to it. Of course that is just one odd thing I do with it. Most people are going to wear it (of course!).
The bracelets are available in a variety of designs. Because these are handmade their might be a few subtle differences.
They are so pretty. I love the symbolism of the designs and colors. Each has a special meaning.
These bracelets would make great gifts.

these are so colorful and pretty! I actually own a couple similar to these from having gone to PowWows in the past and they are definitely beautiful, so glad they can also be found online too!
