Do you enjoy wearing perfume? Do you have a “signature scent?” Do you prefer to wear different scents depending on your mood, the occasion and what you are wearing?
I used to have a signature scent when I was in my late teens and early 20’s. I stopped wearing perfume when my kids were little because I was a stay at home mom for 18 years and didn’t really feel the need to wear perfume, unless my husband and I were going out (date night). In that case I would literally wear the perfume I received as samples in magazines or in fine department stores.
As soon as I returned to the work force, I started to look into perfumes again. I thought I’d go with a “signature scent,” but I wasn’t able to narrow down only one scent that I enjoyed. I liked a lot of them. For that reason I have a variety of perfumes to suit my needs depending on what I’m wearing, where I am going and the season. I wear lighter scents in the warm weather months, and richer, deeper scents in the fall and winter.
Have you ever heard of the brand DefineMe? I actually reviewed perfume from the brand ways back in 2015. Back then I received samples of their (then) available scents – Sophia Isabella, Payton, Harper, Clara, and Audrey. Each scent was different.
If you are interested in reading reviews of those scents, you can find that post here – Unique Fragrances You Can Mix and Match from DefineMe.
That is a great thing about scents from DefineMe. You CAN mix and match them to create your own signature scent.
Here are a few more interesting tidbits about DefineMe’s fragrances;
- They are blended with fractionated coconut oil, not Dipropylene Glycol (a chemical additive). The coconut oil is naturally sourced & vegan.
- The fragrances have a roller ball for easy application.
- DefineMe fragrances last 3 times longer than most fragrances (I agree – they do last a long time).
- All of the scents are blendable with the other scents.
- The fragrances are made in the U.S.A.
I recently received another scent from the brand. DefineMe sent me their Rami (Clear Quartz) scent to try out.
As per the brand;
We matched the power of clear quartz crystals with our warm, deliciously gourmand Rami scent. Rami is meant to bring a sense of clarity and purpose, and attract an abundance of whatever you are looking for. The scent wave starts with fig and cherry, then flows into salted caramel and almond, and finishes with golden benzoin and amber.
Clear quartz is known for having a high vibration. It is used for healing and spiritual growth. Clear quartz enhances mental clarity and focus, and it also helps with manifestation.
I’m not always good with identifying specific scents when it comes to perfume. I know some people are great with narrowing down top notes, middle notes and so forth. Sadly, that is not me.
When I first spray on Rami, I do smell what I believe to be cherry, but not in a very fruity way (if that makes sense). It doesn’t come off as a sweet, fruity, candy-like scent. It’s more sophisticated. After the cherry, I honestly cannot identify what I’m smelling, but whatever it is, it smells really good.
I have worn this fragrance every day since I received it to review, and not a day has gone by without someone asking me about what I am wearing, or telling me that I smell nice. I work with kids and a couple of them told me I smell nice too.
I initially thought this was a great fall scent (seasonal) but the more I wore it, the more I realized that this could be worn year round. I think it’s appropriate for a chilly winter day as it would be for the “dog days of summer.”
This scent does last a long time (thankfully). It does change it’s scent as time goes on, so initial scent you smell when you first spray it will change as time goes on (but in a good way). In a way, it’s almost like you are wearing different perfumes throughout the day, even though it’s just a single scent.
The unique thing about this scent is that the bottle contains crystals inside. I thought that was a nice touch.
My daughter is into crystals and the moment she saw this bottle she told me she’ll take the perfume if I didn’t want it. Nope, sorry… I want it. Ha Ha.
This is a special perfume, not only for it’s scent, but also for the crystals inside. This would make an amazing gift.
DefineMe has other products worth checking out, such as hair fragrance mists, whipped body polish, shimmer body oil, “mood prisms” so you can have your scent on-the-go, and so much more. They even have sample sets so you can try out scents before you purchase a larger bottle.
They also have a Barbie perfume (for grown ups!). I’m curious to know how that one smells. The notes are;
Top: Pomelo, Strawberry Nectar, Red Cherry, and Dragon Fruit
Middle: Dahlia Rose, Gardenia, Peony, and Pink Magnolia
Base: Sandalwood, Whipped Cream, and Soft Musk
