I am a big believer that scents can effect your mood. So much so, never a day goes by without me burning a candle, plugging in a scented plug, or spraying an air freshener. I even have air fresheners in my car.
I love to change scents every day. I’ve heard that you get used to scents, which is why you don’t always smell them. That is one of the reasons why I use a new scent daily. I also believe that scents can make you feel relaxed, more energized, focus better and make your home smell welcoming.
During the fall months all you’ll smell in my home is fall scents. I LOVE fall scents. They are my favorites.
Because I love scents, I have tried many different devices and vessels that will allow scents to float through the air. Plugins, diffusers, candles, and even a bear covered in scented wax (he was cute, but the scent didn’t last long).
Recently I received a plugin from the brand Zent New York.
Zent plugins are sleek oil diffusers. In addition, Zent sells the best essential oils that can invigorate your mind and body. From fresh lavender that aids with anxiety and depression, to eucalyptus which clear allergies and helps reduce stress. Zent New York has an array of scents to create the perfect Zen atmosphere after a busy day.
The Zent plugin is much larger than the ones I am accustomed to. That is fine with me. As long as it works, I don’t care how big or small it is.
Zent New York has diffusers in a variety of sizes, some that will have your scent covering an entire home (2,500 square feet!). The plugin can help the scent cover an area up to 800 square feet. Seeing as how our condo is only 900 square feet, that works well for me.
Using the Zent diffuser is super easy, simply remove the “well” and pour in your favorite scent. Then return it to the diffuer and reattach it. Then plug it in. It’s that easy!
*Don’t pour in too much of the essential oil. You have to take the “tube” into consideration (it takes up the oil), which takes up room in the “well.”
The essential oils are available in different sizes from 4 ounces, to 8 ounces and 16 ounces.
I’m very impressed by the available scents. There are dozens of scents. They have scents, woodsy, calming, floral, fresh and even a collection of scents from major hotels. I wonder what the Waldorf and Ritz Carlton smell like.

I like that they include all the notes on the scents. That helps to give you an idea of what it will smell like, especially because scents can change so easily.
The interesting thing about this diffuser is that when you plug it in, a light mist emits from it. That is what is carrying the scent. It’s not like a diffuser where the unit heats up which causes the scent to be released. Zent New York’s diffuser uses a steam which helps the scent to float in the air a lot quicker and more efficiently.
There are small controls on the diffuser that let you choose how strong you want the scent to be. You can also control how long you want the diffuser to work for. There is a smart mode that will make the unit run only when there is sufficient light (meaning it would turn off at night). You can also have it run 24 hours if you so choose.
I tried to take a photo of the mist, but it wasn’t easy. The mist never showed up in the photos.
I love this diffuser. It does a fabulous job of helping the scent waif through the air throughout my home.
I hope they come out with fall (pumpkin) and Christmas (Christmas tree) scents. That would be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
